Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) - Night Shift Contract AssignmentLocation: Albany, Oregon Facility: Samaritan Albany General Hospital Department: Sleep Center Job Type: Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP Shift: Nights (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), Every Weekend Hours: 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and credentialed Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) for a contract opportunity at a respected healthcare facility in Albany, Oregon. The Sleep Technologist will perform patient set-ups for overnight sleep testing, monitor and record polysomnographic (PSG) studies, and assist in the diagnostic evaluation of sleep-related disorders. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently during overnight shifts. Key Responsibilities
Perform patient preparation and setup for overnight sleep studies. Conduct and monitor polysomnographic (PSG) testing and video recordings. Accurately document and record patient sleep activity for diagnostic evaluation. Administer sleep-related medications in accordance with facility policies and procedures. Monitor patient safety and respond appropriately to clinical situations. Communicate effectively with physicians, Sleep Lab leadership, and interdisciplinary team members. Ensure compliance with all regulatory, quality, and documentation standards.
Department Overview The Sleep Center provides comprehensive diagnostic testing and evaluation for patients experiencing sleep disturbances and neurological-related disorders. The department is committed to delivering high-quality patient care through advanced sleep diagnostics and collaborative clinical practice. Qualifications Required Education & Experience
Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved program or a minimum of one (1) year of experience in:
Polysomnography Neurodiagnostics Respiratory Therapy
Required Licenses & Certifications
Active Oregon Polysomnographic Technologist (PSGT) License (required at submission) Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential through BRPT Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification
Additional Requirements
Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience. Active state licensure in good standing. Experience with EPIC EMR preferred. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as scheduled.
