Report incidents involving residents to appropriate individuals Maintain knowledge of all policies and procedures Assist residents with activities of daily living Perform housekeeping duties Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergency alerts Remain calm and competent during emergencies Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents Follow confidentiality policies regarding resident information Assist residents to and from the dining room and activities Check on residents, ensure attendance at meals and activities Report status or concerns of ill residents to appropriate individuals Communicate verbally and in writing to report resident status and community information Assist new residents with move-in transition and provide emotional support Other duties as assigned
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED Successfully completed approved personal care aide program Effective communication skills Organizational skills and ability to work well with all levels of personnel Contributing member of nursing team and follow instruction of supervisor Polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and co-workers Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift 50 lbs, and push or carry 25 lbs Safely lift and transfer residents while maintaining proper body mechanics Designated uniform during working hours, including name badge CPR/First Aid certified, or willing to become certified within 60 days of hire Represent the community in a positive and professional manner Attend and complete all required in-services and staff meetings Willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays
