Job Description The Cardiac Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (CPICU) Registered Nurse will provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients with congenital heart disease and related conditions. The CPICU is a 29-bed award-winning unit, recognized as a referral center for pediatric cardiac surgery and complex cardiac care in South Carolina. ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 or 1:2 patient care based on acuity. Administer medications and perform procedures associated with cardiac care. Monitor patient status through hemodynamic monitoring and other critical care methodologies. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans. Participate in pediatric palliative care as needed. Assist in training and orientation for newly hired staff and travelers on unit protocols. Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureMinimum of 2 years of experience in Pediatric Cardiac ICU. Valid RN license in South Carolina or compact state. Current certifications in BLS and PALS from the American Heart Association. Experience in caring for patients with Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD) is preferred.
