Description
Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using standardized assessments and keen observational skills. Create custom treatment plans that cater to both immediate milestones and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions with an emphasis on language, voice, fluency, and swallowing. Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to develop cohesive care approaches. Educate patients and their families to empower them in continuing progress beyond the clinical setting. Support occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring that the continuum of care remains intact throughout the recovery process. Maintain up-to-date and precise documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational standards. Stay abreast of advancements in the field through ongoing professional education and collaborative learning with peers. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
Must possess a state license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment. Skills
Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods for all age groups, with a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Flexibility in adapting therapy techniques to serve diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical judgement and adept problem-solving capabilities.
