Key Responsibilities
Identify and contextualize critical business issues, embedding an objective, unbiased perspective into business conversations.
Drive fact‑based decision making for key questions, enabling priority choices for the GPS portfolio.
Develop and maintain deep understanding of GPS business priorities, meeting agreed‑upon analytics deliverables and timelines.
Design, develop, build, implement, and maintain a broad array of business analytics and analytical tools using best practices for analytics DevOps.
Identify new opportunities to leverage analytics, data, and analytical tools.
Ensure best‑practice adoption within areas of responsibility and apply appropriate technical capabilities.
Manage planned and ad‑hoc analytics requests, ensuring consistent quality and timeliness for stakeholders.
Leverage analytics standards to support planning and decision‑making and provide input to improve GPS BI&T capabilities.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Commercial Analytics, Data Science AI & BI Solutions, Commercial, Procurement, Finance) to deliver a consistent engagement model.
Maintain adherence to BMS operating policies and demonstrate BMS values in all stakeholder interactions.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, data science, engineering, finance, or another quantitative field; advanced degree preferred.
Experience with applied machine learning, statistical models, time‑series modeling, or quantitative forecasting.
Proficiency in SQL, Python and/or R in production/operational environments.
Experience working with large data sets, basic data architecture and database concepts.
Experience developing code in a production‑grade environment using version control.
Experience building data visualizations and dashboards in Power BI or Tableau.
Experience building and deploying predictive models (MLOps).
Knowledge of probabilistic methods, including Monte Carlo simulations, Bayesian methods.
Familiarity with major GPS applications (SAP, LIMS, Infinity, MES, Aera) is a plus.
Experience in the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry is a significant plus.
Experience with generative or agentic AI is a significant plus.
Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, interpersonal, collaborative, and written communication skills.
Compensation Overview (New Brunswick, NJ) $96,560 - $117,008 per year (full‑time employee). Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may be available. Final compensation will be based on demonstrated experience.
