Process outpatient, inpatient, and mail-order prescriptions accurately and efficiently Enter prescription information and maintain accurate pharmacy records Count, package, label, and dispense medications under established pharmacy protocols Process medication charges and payments Prepare medications for shipping and delivery as needed
Inventory Management
Maintain medication inventory within the hospital's Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs) Unit-dose medications and prepare stock for automated dispensing systems Monitor inventory levels and assist with medication restocking and organization
Client & Clinical Support
Respond to phone calls and email requests regarding prescription refills and medication orders Communicate professionally with clients, veterinarians, nurses, and veterinary students Assist in resolving medication-related concerns and follow up on incomplete requests
Pharmacy Quality & Compliance
Process returned medications and maintain inventory accuracy Prepare compounding ingredients and supplies as directed Perform required daily and weekly cleaning of pharmacy equipment, compounding spaces, and biological safety cabinets Support compliance with hospital, pharmacy, and safety protocols
What We're Looking For
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment Comfort working collaboratively with clinicians, students, and hospital staff Previous pharmacy, veterinary, healthcare, or customer service experience preferred
