Decontamination Duties: Advanced ability to hand clean and inspect all instruments, containers, and equipment according to manufacturer's specifications, hospital safety policies, and regulatory guidelines to assure patient and employee protection Cleans and leak tests flexible endoscopes according to the manufacturer's specifications and hospital policy Wears protective attire and uses proper cleaning solutions while performing duties in the decontamination department Assembly Room Duties: Advanced ability to accurately inspect and assemble instrument and specialty trays in a timely manner Maintains biological and sterilization records for steam, Steris, Sterrad machines according to departmental procedures Accurately operates all sterilization equipment to sterilize instruments according to department policy and manufacturer's recommendations Job Requirements Required
High School GED General Studies, upon hire or High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire and Certified and Registered Central Service Technician, within 24 - months or Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Tech, within 24 - months or Cert Sterile Processing Dist Tech, within 24 - months Preferred
