Conduct assessments on patients of all ages using established evaluation tools and observational methods to understand their needs. Craft tailored treatment plans that address immediate objectives while paving the way for lasting communication, cognitive, and swallowing improvements. Deliver engaging one-on-one speech therapy sessions that cater to communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing aspects. Partner effectively with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to design integrated care pathways. Provide valuable education to patients and their families to encourage meaningful progress even outside of therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient assessments and therapy to ensure consistent care throughout the rehabilitation process. Keep detailed and timely documentation in line with regulatory standards and best practices. Commit to ongoing learning through professional development and collaboration with peers. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA. Certifications
Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be completed within 30 days of hire. Skills
Expertise in evidence-based practices for an array of age groups, alongside a solid understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Strong communication skills with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary team members. Ability to tailor therapy methods to embrace cultural and linguistic diversity.
