Assess a variety of patients across all ages utilizing standardized tools and observational methods. Create tailored treatment strategies that meet both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver dedicated speech therapy to improve language use, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing effectiveness. Engage as part of an interdisciplinary team, collaborating with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to ensure comprehensive care delivery. Educate patients and their families to support progress and communication skills outside the therapy room. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy to ensure seamless care throughout the treatment process. Maintain precise documentation in line with state, federal, and organization standards. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology with ongoing education and peer engagement. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a regionally accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills
