We are seeking an experienced Veeva Project Manager / Subject Matter Expert (SME) contractor to support the planning, coordination, and execution of Veeva-related initiatives working for a Global Pharmaceutical Company. This role combines strong project management capabilities with hands-on functional expertise in the Veeva platform and related business processes.
The ideal candidate is not “just a PM,” but someone who can engage deeply with stakeholders, provide informed guidance on Veeva capabilities and best practices, help drive decision-making, and ensure successful delivery across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate Veeva-related projects from initiation through execution and delivery
* Serve as a functional SME for Veeva applications and associated business processes
* Partner with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and end users to define requirements and drive alignment
* Facilitate project planning, status tracking, risk management, issue resolution, and executive communication
* Translate business needs into actionable project plans and solution recommendations
* Provide guidance on Veeva platform functionality, configuration considerations, and implementation best practices
* Support workshops, testing activities, user acceptance processes, training coordination, and change management efforts
* Ensure timelines, deliverables, and dependencies are actively managed across workstreams
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency within the Veeva ecosystem
* Act as a trusted advisor to both technical and business stakeholders
Required Qualifications
* Proven experience leading Veeva-related projects in a project management and/or SME capacity
* Strong understanding of Veeva platform capabilities and lifecycle/business processes
* Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in fast-paced environments
* Experience working with cross-functional teams including business, IT, compliance, and external partners
* Strong communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and organizational skills
* Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and drive projects to completion
* Experience with project governance, reporting, and risk/issue management
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with one or more Veeva modules/products (e.g., Vault, CRM, Quality, PromoMats, RIM, etc.)
* Life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated industry experience
* Familiarity with system implementation, enhancement, migration, or optimization initiatives
* Experience working in GxP or validated environments
* PMP or similar project management certification preferred
Engagement Details
* Contractor / consulting engagement
* Part-time or full-time depending on project needs
* Remote or hybrid flexibility based on team requirements
Pay: $60.00 - $85.00 per hour
