Practice Setting and Clinical Scope
As a locum tenens Urologist, you will be immersed in a fast-paced clinical environment, responsible for both inpatient and outpatient care. You will handle a variety of procedures and surgeries, with a monthly volume of 20-30 surgeries and 20-25 patients per day. The role offers a mix of new consults and established patient care, ensuring a dynamic and engaging clinical experience.
Schedule and Assignment Details
Your schedule will include clinic hours from 8 am to 4 pm, alongside night and 24-hour call duties on a rotational basis. The assignment spans 3-6 months, with a minimum coverage requirement of three months. Expect to cover 5-6 days of call, plus clinic duties, ensuring you remain actively engaged and professionally fulfilled.
Support and Work Environment
Benefit from working within a well-supported practice featuring 2 RNs, a Medical Assistant, a Surgery Scheduler, and 2 front office staff members. The health system utilizes Epic for EMR, ensuring seamless patient documentation and care coordination. The hospitalist team supports admissions, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional urologic care.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Urology is highly preferred, or you must be truly board eligible within 0-5 years of residency completion.
- An active WA license is highly preferred, or an IMLC with LOQ in hand.
- Current ACLS, BLS, and DEA certifications are required, though you may obtain ACLS or BLS if selected.
- Must possess a clean malpractice history and be able to detail an availability of 3-4 weeks and specific blackout dates through February 2026.
