Description
Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized testing and careful observation. Create tailored treatment plans that address immediate objectives as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions concentrated on various aspects such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to formulate integrated care plans. Educate patients and their families to continue progress beyond clinical visits. Support inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions as needed to ensure seamless continuity of care. Keep precise and timely records in compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards. Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education and collaboration with peers. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of an accredited Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Skills
