Description
Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients through standardized assessments and keen observations. Craft tailored treatment plans that overlay both immediate and long-term goals, focusing on communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities. Deliver individualized speech therapy, targeting diverse areas such as communication, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing concerns. Work collaboratively with a multifaceted team including physical and occupational therapists, medical staff, and caregivers, to foster a cohesive treatment experience. Educate patients and their families to empower continued progress beyond therapy sessions. Perform occasional inpatient evaluations with the aim of offering insights and ensuring smooth transitions in care. Maintain detailed documentation that complies with governmental regulations and internal standards. Commit to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and team discussions. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hiring. Skills
