Gala & Associates, Inc., a full service consulting Architectural and Engineering firm located in Beverly Hills, MI, is seeking a Sr. level Mechanical Engineer to work with our staff on our Automotive and Heavy Industrial projects. Responsibilities:
* Lead our Mechanical department and provide technical design support to the design team * Prepare schematic designs, construction documents and specifications in compliance with owners requirements and ensure governmental code compliance * Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, design analysis and construction cost estimates * Perform construction related services including shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, conduct field / site surveys and observations * Collaborate and coordinate design with engineers, architects, designers, owner, product manufacturers, vendors and building contractors as required * Responsible for insuring accuracy and content of construction documents and coordination with other disciplines
Experience Required:
* Project management * HVAC systems * Facility engineering * Chilled water system * Hot water system * Energy utilization * Fire protection
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Masters preferred * Minimum 10 years relevant work experience * Licensed PE * LEED certified * Knowledge of industry technical software - Revit a plus * Strong leadership skills - ability to motivate and direct team * Excellent written and verbal communication skills
