Veterinary Technician Position PetDocks Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Part-Time or Seasonal Veterinary Technician to join our team in Morehead City, North Carolina. Salary: $16.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location. Schedule: Flexible part-time schedule available. We are open to candidates seeking seasonal employment, including those looking for summer, holiday, or temporary opportunities. Days and hours can be discussed based on availability and hospital needs. Some boarding/kennel shifts may be required. Location: 5307 Hwy 70 W, Morehead City, NC 28557 Who We Are: As an AAHA-accredited hospital, PetDocks Veterinary Hospital's mission is to provide a cheerful, dedicated, and comfortable environment that offers the best veterinary care to all pets (cats, dogs, and exotics) in Morehead City, NC, and beyond. With a deeply loyal clientele and over 25 years in the community, this hospital is always busy and utilizes all associates to the highest level of their skills. NC state RVT license strongly preferred, but not required
1 + years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary assistant or technician required
Understands the importance of excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
Passion for working with animals and their owners
Familiarity with Cornerstone or ProVet preferred
Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
Experience with proper animal handling and restraint of a variety of species
Ability to perform nursing care in a veterinary hospital setting
Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
Basic understanding of common medications, vaccinations, and preventatives
Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments per doctor orders
Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures
Ensure a clean, safe and organized work environment
