As our Radiology Assistant you will be a crucial part of our Imaging Services team, ensuring operational efficiency and delivering excellent patient care. You will support the smooth workflow within our radiology department, contributing directly to a positive patient experience. Every day you will meticulously check and maintain department wheelchairs and carts, ensuring all patient transport equipment is mechanically sound and clean. To be successful in this role, you will possess a high school diploma or GED, along with Basic Life Support (BLS-CPR) certification. We are looking for an individual with strong computer skills, particularly a working knowledge of EMR and PACS systems.
Checks department wheelchairs and carts daily assuring both are mechanically sound; immediately reports equipment defects to supervisor. Cleans transporting equipment after every patient. Insures correct identity of patient before transporting. Verifies mode of transport and exam order in the chart prior to transport Checks with patients nurse prior to taking patient from the floor. If patient is on telemetry they must be called prior to the patient leaving the floor and upon their return.
Required:
High School Diploma/GED Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR) Basic computer skills Completion of Restraint Training (within 6 months) Completion of Safe Patient Handling program (within 6 months) Completion of Oxygen Training program (within 6 months) Completion of Medical Terminology Course (within 6 months)
