Provide direct patient care for all eligible patients. Oversee hospital, discharge care of admitted patients. Liaison to all medical consultants. Coordination of care with relevant campus partners.
Indirect Patient Care:
Facilitate medical education to students and staff. Actively participate in relevant campus and UHS committees, as assigned by the supervisor. Collaborate with all members of the care team to assure quality care to patients. Special project or committee appointments, as assigned.
Professional standards:
Maintain medical records and other healthcare documents according to patient-privacy requirements to assure patient confidentiality. Document all care they provide in the electronic medical record. Maintain all necessary state and federal licenses to provide medical care in Indiana. Maintain basic CPR life-saving certification; will be provided as needed.
Qualifications: Qualifications Nurse Practitioner
Education: Master’s (MSN), Post-Master’s Certificate, or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program. An active Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license. Certification: National certification in an NP specialty area (e.g., FNP). Licensure: Maintain IPLA (Indiana Professional Licensing Agency) licensing. Maintain DEA license.
Physician Assistant
Education: Graduated from an accredited PA program Certification: Must maintain NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification. Maintain DEA license. Licensure: Maintain IPLA (Indiana Professional Licensing Agency) licensing.
