Perform thorough patient evaluations, order necessary diagnostic tests, and develop tailor-made care plans Diagnose and manage acute, chronic, or episodic health issues in partnership with physicians or independently, depending on your credentialing Provide education to patients and their families regarding prevention strategies, wellness, and management of diseases Prescribe appropriate medications and treatment modalities as permitted by your practice scope Engage in patient follow-up and chronic care initiatives Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical record (EMR) systems Education & Licensure Requirements
Hold a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree Have graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Certifications Needed
Active Nurse Practitioner license in Texas National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty cert Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or plan to secure them within 90 days) Distinct Skills to Elevate Your Application
