Job Responsibilities
Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and senior patient groups using standardized assessments as well as observational strategies. Create individualized treatment plans focusing on both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges. Deliver tailored speech therapy interventions aimed at improving communication, language clarity, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing abilities. Work collaboratively with a dynamic team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish synchronized care plans. Provide education for patients and their families to encourage ongoing support and development outside clinical hours. Carry out occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and deliver services to maintain care continuity throughout the recovery process. Ensure meticulous documentation that aligns with state, federal, and institutional regulations. Engage in continual professional development and peer interaction to stay abreast of emerging trends in the field. Qualifications
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those who are not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first 30 days of employment. Skills
