Perform diverse ultrasound examinations, such as abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging Prioritize patient comfort and safety during all procedures, effectively communicating with empathy and care Partner with radiologists and referring physicians to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging Maintain and operate imaging equipment while promptly reporting any issues Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures in the electronic medical records system Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and best practices Education Requirements
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program preferred Certifications Required
Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or its equivalent BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred Skills Needed
High level of technical proficiency in sonographic imaging and patient positioning Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Ability to function autonomously as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Adaptability to a fast-paced environment while maintaining a patient-focused approach Benefits Overview
