Job Description Nurse Practitioner - PCP
Compensation Salary Range: $137,000 - $189,000 per year
Location: Winthrop, MA Onsite
Position Summary
As a Nurse Practitioner - PCP, you will provide comprehensive primary care services to individuals, families, and groups in a community-based setting. This role focuses on diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions while emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. You will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and ongoing panel management.
Responsibilities
? Schedule / Shift
Shift details: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (no weekends or nights)
Hours per week: 40 (32 clinic hours + 8 administrative/follow-up hours) ? Key Duties:
Conduct comprehensive and problem-focused health histories and physical examinations
Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic and laboratory testing
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions with appropriate treatment plans
Communicate clinical findings and coordinate care, including consults with physicians and advanced practice providers
Manage a patient panel, including follow-ups, in-basket monitoring, and participation in after-hours coverage rotations Requirements
? Education
Required: Master's Degree as a Nurse Practitioner ? Licenses & Certifications
Required:
Active Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (as required by department)
? Skills:
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning abilities
Excellent communication and patient engagement skills
Ability to manage a high-volume patient panel effectively
Strong collaboration skills within interdisciplinary healthcare teams
