Job Description
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including comprehensive physical exams and reviews of medical histories Assist in the diagnosis and evaluation of surgical conditions by interpreting diagnostic imaging and lab results Collaborate with surgeons in developing and implementing tailored surgical treatment plans Provide critical intraoperative assistance, including preparing operating rooms, ensuring proper patient positioning, and passing instruments during procedures Deliver exceptional care in the pre-operative and post-operative phases, which includes administering medications, managing wounds, planning discharges, and educating patients Education
Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program Completion of clinical rotations with a surgical focus is strongly preferred Certifications
Current and unrestricted PA-C certification Certifications in BLS and ACLS required State licensure or eligibility as a Physician Assistant Skills
Strong understanding of surgical principles and sterile techniques Ability to interpret diagnostic exams and contribute effectively to complex clinical decisions Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in high-pressure situations, especially during surgical cases Empathetic bedside manner with deep respect for patients' dignity and autonomy Benefits
