Assist in the evaluation and diagnosis of surgical conditions by interpreting imaging studies and laboratory results. Work closely with surgeons to develop and implement patient-specific surgical treatment plans. Provide intraoperative support by preparing operating rooms, ensuring proper patient positioning, and efficiently handling surgical instruments during procedures. Deliver exceptional pre-operative and post-operative care, which includes administering medications, wound care, discharge planning, and patient education. Education
Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Completion of clinical rotations with a surgical focus is strongly preferred. Certifications
Current and unrestricted PA-C certification. BLS and ACLS certification required. State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant. Skills
Strong understanding of surgical principles and sterile techniques. Ability to interpret diagnostic tests and contribute to complex clinical decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Capacity to thrive in high-pressure situations, especially during surgical procedures.
