Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing established assessments and observational methodologies. Design individualized therapy strategies that target immediate and long-range goals related to communication, cognition, or swallowing. Deliver dedicated speech therapy sessions that emphasize language, fluency, voice, and swallowing techniques. Partner with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to ensure a unified approach to patient care. Provide education to both patients and families to foster development outside of your clinical interactions. Engage in occasional inpatient assessments and treatments, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout each patient's journey. Uphold thorough documentation practices that comply with local, federal, and organizational regulations. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and collaborative team efforts. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) awarded by ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills
Expertise in evidence-based intervention strategies for all age groups, with a deep understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional interpersonal communication abilities with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
