Project Appointment Student As a Project Appointment Student, in the Department of Dermatology at the Medical College of Wisconsin, you will be expected to actively contribute to the advancement of dermatologic research through collaboration, scientific rigor, and professional engagement. Fellows will work within a structured leadership framework and participate in designated research initiatives. Primary Responsibilities Research Participation
You will actively contribute to ongoing departmental research projects, with a primary focus on: GLODERM (Global Health Dermatology) Responsibilities will include coordination of GLODERM mentorship programme activities and other activities as dictated by current needs – including but not limited to executive and steering committees, monthly curriculum sessions, updating website, updating grant applications, and coordination of scientific sessions.
Meeting Participation
You are expected to attend and actively engage in monthly research team meetings Participation includes presenting updates, discussing progress, and contributing to problem-solving and collaborative planning.
Knowledge – Skills – Abilities
Required knowledge: biology, chemistry, toxicology, pharmacology, mathematics, statistics, documentation, records management, data utilization, complex problem solving, critical thinking, resource management, and writing skills
Qualifications Minimum Required Education: Must have student status at an accredited educational institution Minimum Required Experience: 0 years Physical Requirements Work requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously. Work Environment Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment. Sensory Acuity Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required. May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.
