Assess patients of all ages using standardized assessments and observational techniques to better understand their unique communication needs. Create individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate goals and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities. Collaborate seamlessly with an interdisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to craft cohesive care strategies. Provide comprehensive education to patients and their families to ensure continued growth beyond your in-clinic sessions. Facilitate inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions when needed, ensuring that each patient receives continuous and connected care throughout their journey. Document all relevant patient interactions in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations to maintain accuracy and compliance. Commit to ongoing professional development by pursuing continuing education and collaboration with peers in the field. Education
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire. Skills
