Peri-Anesthesia Rn Fairview has an immediate opening for a Peri-Anesthesia RN at the Ambulatory Surgery and Procedure Center located on the University of MN East Bank campus in Minneapolis, MN. This is a 0.8 FTE (64 hours per two week pay period) benefits-eligible opening, variable shift start times. Ranked #1 in the state of Minnesota, our Ambulatory Surgery Center serves as a catalyst for the expansion of our extraordinary patient care and innovative research. Patient needs and the principles of access, innovation and cost-effective care have been incorporated at every level. Our Ambulatory Surgery and Procedure Center has 10 operating rooms and 6 procedure rooms and last year we cared for almost 16,000 patients. Overview Professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability through the nursing process, for the pre-operative care of the Ambulatory Surgery and Procedure Center patient and significant others in collaboration with other health care providers. Responsibilities
Develop and initiate plan of patient care using an outcomes based approach ensuring application of age related growth and development principles. Coordinate, oversee, deliver, and delegate nursing care based on patient assessment/standards of care. Direct, evaluate, and supervise the work of assistive personnel in providing delegated nursing services and development principles Document, reassess and alter plan of care based on patient's response to nursing interventions on an ongoing basis. Collaborates with other health care team members, patient and family members to determine necessary resources and provide continuity of patient care. Communicate pertinent patient data to other members of the health care team in a timely fashion.
Required Qualifications
Associates Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science Nursing 3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably within specific patient population group. 3 years of experience in caring for surgical patients. MN Registered Nurse (RN) License Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) Upon Hire Pediatric Adv Life Support (American Heart Assoc) within 180 Days
