Perform wellness examinations, including blood pressure and blood glucose testing Provide first-aid treatment and case management for musculoskeletal complaints, including the use of ice, heat, wellness stretches, massage, tape techniques, and knowledge of non-rigid bracing. Provide orthopedic injury evaluations Develop and implement site-specific wellness programs and initiatives Conduct exhaustive ergonomic job risk analyses, which include task analysis, risk factor identification and quantification, posture analysis, and body mechanics analysis. Design and/or implement ergonomics interventions utilizing innovative, creative solutions and employee empowerment. Create an environment of trust and caring that empowers workers to reduce or eliminate actions or behaviors under their control that contribute to injury and illness. Communicate regularly with safety personnel regarding rehabilitation and injury prevention activities. Author articles for various company newsletters and intranets as needed. The onsite athletic trainer will not provide rehabilitation services but will participate in education and prevention programs. Act as a employee advocate for non-work-related injuries. Candidates must be willing to take online Spanish classes or be bilingual.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of preferred athletic training experience is a plus Bachelor's degree in related field Board Certified Athletic training certification State licensures certification Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification Willingness to travel to various client locations Knowledge of OSHA Recordability and worker's compensation is a plus Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and employees Previous ergonomic/occupational experience is a plus
