Carrying out thorough patient evaluations, ordering diagnostic procedures, and crafting personalized treatment plans Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health concerns in partnership with physicians or independently (based on credentialing) Providing education to patients and their families on preventive care, wellness strategies, and disease management Prescribing necessary medications and therapies within established guidelines Engaging in patient follow-ups and managing chronic health issues Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to maintain comprehensive, patient-centered care Meticulously documenting patient interactions within electronic medical records (EMR) Educational Prerequisites
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Essential Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Kentucky National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or the ability to obtain within 90 days) Attributes That Enhance Your Profile
