Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric age groups using both standardized assessments and observational methods. Create customized treatment plans tailored to individual communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements, focusing on meeting both short-term and long-term objectives. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions concentrating on areas like communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to devise comprehensive care strategies. Provide education to patients and families to bolster progress beyond therapy sessions. Occasionally perform inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care throughout the recovery journey. Maintain prompt and precise documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational regulations. Engage in continuous professional development and peer collaboration to stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire. Skills
