We offer a wide range of services including general surgery and a 24-hour emergency department. At Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center, we are able to bring you a wide range of services close to home, provided by a network of board certified physicians. The Health Information Coordinator 1/2 is responsible for screening patients in the Emergency Department screening area. Minimum Qualifications One year of experience in administrative services; OR One year of training in or completion of a business or clerical-related curriculum from a business school or technical institute. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the required general experience. Job Duties and Other InformationJob Duties: Issue account numbers to patients seeking medical services.
Verify and update patients' personal information.
Verify and update patients' health insurance.
Transferring orders to medical records for charting.
Assisting patients in Community Care Medicaid obtain referrals for visits.
Follow HIPPA Guidelines, and provide patients with HIPPA information.
