Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients across all age groups using standardized assessments and observational methods. Create tailored treatment plans that meet both immediate and long-term communicative, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Implement individualized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language development, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Work closely with a collaborative team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to ensure seamless care plans. Deliver educational resources for patients and their families to reinforce progress beyond therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring continuous patient care throughout their therapeutic journey. Maintain precise and timely documentation that adheres to the regulatory standards set by state and federal guidelines. Engage in ongoing learning and collaboration with peers to stay ahead of advancements in the field. Education
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have not yet achieved ASHA certification. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills
