Identifying and addressing acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses, collaborating with physicians or working autonomously, depending on your credentials. Instructing patients and families on wellness, preventive care, and management of chronic conditions. Issuing prescriptions and therapies within your practice scope. Engaging in follow-up care and chronic condition management. Working alongside interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive, holistic patient care. Meticulously documenting patient interactions within electronic medical records (EMR). Education Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program. Essential Certifications
Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Indiana. National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain them within 90 days). Key Skills for Success
