Nuclear Medicine TechnologistLocation: Colorado Springs, CO Job Type: Full-Time | On-site Vendor fee-6% Pay- $45/hr- $65/hr About the Role We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a growing cardiovascular clinic in Colorado Springs. This role is focused on delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging that directly supports patient care and outcomes in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Key Responsibilities
Prepare, administer, and measure radioactive isotopes for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under physician direction Perform SPECT and PET imaging for cardiac and diagnostic studies Operate and maintain nuclear imaging equipment and ensure proper calibration Conduct cardiac imaging procedures to identify and assess abnormalities Take patient histories, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety Calculate, measure, and document radiopharmaceutical doses accurately Perform quality control checks and maintain compliance with regulatory standards Safely handle, store, and dispose of radioactive materials Maintain accurate records and support departmental accreditation requirements
Required Qualifications
Current certification and licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT-N) Strong knowledge of nuclear imaging procedures and radiation safety protocols Experience with SPECT and PET imaging preferred, especially in cardiac applications Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance Excellent communication and patient care skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a cardiology or outpatient clinical setting Familiarity with quality control procedures and imaging equipment maintenance Strong ability to work in a collaborative, patient-focused environment
