Outside Sales Associate

The Outside Sales Representative will generate sales for CR Flooring. Will work with existing customers and secures prospective new customers and clients by phone, e-mail and direct office or job-site appointments providing detailed information on product specifications, services, pricing and delivery and install scheduling.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Manage, cultivate and maintain builder, remodeler and retail customers for Construction Resources and actively participate in the day-to-day management of jobs under your control.
  • Provide required documentation for all jobs submitted for processing:
    • Signed contract or Written Approval with Total & Quote Number
    • Adequately described material and labor on all sales (No TBD)
    • Diagram of Work Areas, including pattern layouts
    • Approval of Diagrams from client/end user
    • Down Payment info when applicable
  • Maintain consistent, timely, and regular contact with all trade accounts assigned and retail clients.
  • Facilitate accounts receivable with collections on trade accounts as needed.
  • Support operations as necessary to ensure exceptional customer service and high-quality services rendered.
  • Communicate with customers in a timely manner. Return phone calls and emails within 24 hours.
  • Continue education by attending PK's, trade shows, etc. as required by management.
  • Follow and educate clients on NWFA, TCNA, and all applicable industry standards; especially concerning installation and warranties.
  • Match client's needs with product benefits by providing client with education on said products and labor. Must present upgrade options to maximize profit and total price sold.
  • Communicate charge orders quickly and efficiently with client and operations.
  • Strive to be the best, know the most, and be an example of professionalism on a daily basis as the face of CR.
  • Actively seek new accounts and opportunities to grow business. Attend trade network meetings regularly. (NARI, ASID, HBA, NKBA)
  • Participate in Decatur Saturday Showroom duty rotation.

Competencies/Skills/Abilities:

  • 3 - 5 years' experience/hands-on knowledge within construction industry product sales Self-motivated, driven to close sales Ability to communicate at all levels, both inside and outside of the Company
  • Computer literate; working knowledge of MS Office
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, and days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime and Saturday work will be required.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

Employee must hold a valid US work authorization.
