How you'll make an impact in this role Assess and manage comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation programs to ensure safe and timely athlete return-to-play. Develop customized, safe conditioning and nutrition plans for all athletes to optimize performance and prevent injury. Evaluate and manage injuries, maintaining meticulous medical documentation and acting as the primary liaison between the athlete, physician, and sports performance staff. Prepare athletes for all practices and competitions by adhering to all regulatory guidelines and team schedules in collaboration with sports performance staff.
What minimum requirements you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Athletic Trainer credentialed from the Texas Advisory Board of Athletic Trainers obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate' degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
What additional preferences we're seeking
Experience as an Athletic Trainer preferred.
