At the Jacksonville campus, you'll find a close-knit, energetic team environment where your voice matters and your leadership can directly influence both program success and campus growth. Your Impact As Program Director, you will serve as the academic and operational leader of the Dental Hygiene program. You'll combine your clinical expertise with leadership and vision to ensure excellence in education and student outcomes. Key Responsibilities (Top Priorities):
Lead program operations, faculty development, and overall academic quality Oversee curriculum design and ensure alignment with industry trends and best practices Direct accreditation efforts and maintain compliance with CODA standards Drive student success through program assessment, outcomes tracking, and continuous improvement Manage program resources, including clinic operations, equipment, and budgeting Build relationships with local employers, advisory boards, and the dental community
What We're Looking For We're seeking a leader who combines clinical credibility, academic insight, and a passion for mentoring. Minimum Qualifications:
Licensed Dental Hygienist in good standing, or eligible for Florida licensure prior to start date. Graduate of a dental hygiene program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). Master's degree or higher in Dental Hygiene, Dental Education, Health Sciences, Education, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution. Minimum of five years of combined experience in dental hygiene practice and dental hygiene education, including a minimum of three years of full-time teaching experience in an accredited dental hygiene program (strongly preferred). Demonstrated administrative and leadership experience in an academic setting, including responsibility for program operations, faculty coordination or supervision, student outcomes, and program effectiveness. Ability to serve in a full-time appointment with primary responsibility for the operation, supervision, evaluation, and revision of the Dental Hygiene program. Documented experience with accreditation processes, including active participation in or leadership of CODA self-study, site visit preparation, compliance reporting, and continuous quality improvement. Evidence of expertise in curriculum development, program assessment, outcomes evaluation, and use of data to support student success, retention, and licensure outcomes. Knowledge of CODA Standards for Dental Hygiene Education Programs and ability to ensure ongoing compliance, reporting, and program effectiveness. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and engagement with professional organizations such as ADHA, ADEA, or related bodies. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage priorities, lead teams, and foster a collaborative, student-first culture.
