Seeking a Part Time Veterinary Assistant! Join the VCA Animal Healing Center Team! Are you an experienced Veterinary Assistant looking to learn and grow in an established Holistic/Conventional veterinary hospital? VCA Animal Healing Center may be just the place you are looking for. We are a fast paced, multi doctor practice located in a historical house in scenic Yardley Pa. Here we focus on a more holistic approach to medicine offering acupuncture, laser therapy, homeopathy and Chinese herbs along with a wide range of conventional services including routine health care, dental care including full mouth dental radiographs, elective/non elective surgical procedures and more. Our office goes above and beyond in both patient medical care and client service. VCA Animal Healing Center consists of a team of extremely committed doctors and technicians that work together side by side to provide patient care that is second to none. Why We Want You As a member of the VCA team, you will help create and maintain a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parent—by delivering an outstanding client experience—so we can provide exceptional care to every patient. Whether you are a seasoned Veterinary Assistant or a Technician in training, we want you to use the knowledge that you’ve invested your time and talent in. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to:
Venipuncture
Maintaining medical records.
Filling prescriptions.
Catheter placement
Radiology
Physical examinations and patient assessment
Surgical preparation and assisting
Laboratory work
Pharmacy
Patient recovery
Compassionate care for hospitalized patients
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have documented previous experience
Flexibility in hours including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays
Customer service skills
Working knowledge of computers
Excellent communications skills
Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments
