As an LVT, you'll be an essential part of our medical team, helping deliver outstanding care from check-in to recovery: Patient Care & Nursing: Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients; Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, and treatments; Monitor hospitalized patients and provide ongoing assessment; Deliver post-operative care, including pain management Surgery & Anesthesia: Prepare patients and surgical suites; Induce, monitor, and recover patients under anesthesia; Assist in surgical procedures and maintain sterile technique Diagnostics & Procedures: Perform venipuncture and laboratory sample collection; Run in-house diagnostics (bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal testing, etc.); Take and process radiographs; Perform dental cleanings and assist with dental procedures Client Communication: Educate clients on treatments, medications, and preventive care; Obtain accurate patient histories and explain discharge instructions; Build trusting relationships with clients through clear, empathetic communication Hospital Operations: Maintain accuracy in medical records and treatment plans; Ensure equipment is properly maintained and functioning; Uphold cleanliness and hospital infection control standards; Support team members and contribute to a positive work environment
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and assist with larger patients; Comfortable standing, bending, and moving throughout the day; Ability to safely restrain animals of all sizes; Willingness to work in a clinical setting with exposure to odors, noise, and medical materials You'll Grow with us Here, you can grow your career as best fits you through access to comprehensive learning and skillset programs.
