Insurance Advisor

Harding & Jacob Insurance, one of the top independent insurance agencies in Northeast Ohio, is seeking insurance advisors for its Independence, Ohio office. To assist our clients in the purchase and design of appropriate insurance coverages for their needs. Also, to develop and execute individual sales plans with direct accountability for monthly and annual production goals.

• Develop a sales plan to originate new-client business
• Build and maintain a book of business
• Maintain a high level of sales activity
• Make cold calls to obtain opportunities for in-person presentations
• Analyze client needs by reviewing current coverage and recommending alternative competitive options
• Complete coverage by delivering policy, planning future follow-ups and evaluations
• Meet with existing clients on a regular basis to maintain close relationships
• Update job knowledge by attending educational seminars, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Risk Management from a four-year college or university and one to three or more years of related experience is preferred
• Sales experience in the insurance industry or prior selling experience in a related field is preferred
• Property & Casualty experience is preferred
• Must be able to meet licensing requirements
