Veterinary Technician Position at Southport Animal Hospital Southport Animal Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Technician! This is a full-time position with a schedule that includes weekdays and occasional Saturdays. The salary is negotiable and based on experience. Provide safe and effective patient handling and restraint Support preventative care and vaccine protocols Monitor anesthesia and assist during surgical procedures Assist with emergency and surgical patient care, including IV catheter placement Obtain diagnostics including radiographs, phlebotomy, and laboratory samples Perform in-house laboratory testing and patient care support Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients and team members Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Collaborate with the veterinary team to support efficient hospital workflow Help create a positive experience for patients, clients, and coworkers alike
We are looking for a Veterinary Technician who brings:
Previous Veterinary Technician experience required Veterinary Technician license preferred but not required Critical thinking, curiosity, and a can-do attitude Reliability and professionalism in a fast-paced environment Passion for teamwork, mentorship, and continued learning Compassionate approach to patient care and client service Strong technical and communication skills Positive attitude and collaborative mindset
