Preparing and organizing the operating room to facilitate effective surgical procedures Ensuring sterile fields are maintained and infection control protocols are rigorously adhered to Supplying surgeons and surgical assistants with the required instruments and materials throughout procedures Managing and maintaining surgical equipment before, during, and after each operation Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring operational readiness for all scheduled surgeries Collaborating with nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgical team members to ensure cohesive care Maintaining accurate counts and documentation of surgical materials Education Backdrop:
Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent is necessary Certifications Required:
A current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential is mandatory BLS certification (or the ability to obtain within 90 days post-employment) Essential Skills and Qualities:
