Create tailored treatment plans that target immediate objectives while considering long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on vital areas like communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing functions. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including occupational and physical therapists, as well as physicians and family members, to ensure holistic patient care. Provide education to patients and their families to enhance progress beyond therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, maintaining care consistency throughout each patient's recovery journey. Ensure meticulous and timely documentation, adhering to state, federal, and organizational standards. Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education opportunities and peer mentorship. Education
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days post-hire. Skills
