Description
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning the pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups using validated assessments and observational insights. Design tailored treatment plans that cater to short-term objectives while addressing long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing domains. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop cohesive care strategies. Provide patient and family education to facilitate and sustain progress beyond clinical sessions. Support with occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a continuum of care throughout the recovery process. Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards. Engage in continued professional development and peer collaboration to remain informed about advancements in the field. Education
A master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment. Skills
