Perform thorough patient evaluations, including physical exams and comprehensive medical histories Assist in identifying and diagnosing surgical conditions through careful interpretation of imaging and laboratory analyses Work collaboratively with surgeons in formulating and executing tailored surgical treatment strategies Provide crucial intraoperative assistance, including preparing operating rooms, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and managing surgical instruments with precision Deliver exemplary pre- and post-operative care, including medication management, wound care, discharge planning, and patient education Education
Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program Completion of surgical-focused clinical rotations is strongly preferred Certifications
Current and unrestricted PA-C certification BLS and ACLS certifications required State licensure or eligibility as a Physician Assistant Skills
Thorough understanding of surgical principles and sterile techniques Ability to interpret diagnostic tests effectively and contribute to intricate clinical decisions Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills Aptitude to thrive in fast-paced environments, especially during surgical procedures Compassionate bedside manner with deep respect for patients' dignity and autonomy Benefits
