Provide 1:1 or 1:2 patient care based on acuity. Administer medications and perform procedures associated with cardiac care. Monitor patient status through hemodynamic monitoring and other critical care methodologies. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans. Participate in pediatric palliative care as needed. Assist in training and orientation for newly hired staff and travelers on unit protocols.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pediatric Cardiac ICU. Valid RN license in South Carolina or compact state. Current certifications in BLS and PALS from the American Heart Association. Experience in caring for patients with Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD) is preferred. Must be able to meet weekend shift requirements, totaling 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule.
