Description
Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups utilizing standardized assessments alongside observational methods. Create tailored treatment plans targeting immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing objectives. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions that encompass aspects of language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Work in partnership with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care approaches. Provide valuable patient and family education to ensure effective progress is sustained beyond clinical appointments. Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to uphold seamless continuity of care. Adhere to precise documentation and compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations. Stay informed on developments within the field via continuous education and collaboration with peers. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist from the state of Nevada. ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred. Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting. Skills
