Every day, you will efficiently inspect and assemble surgical instruments, equipment, trays, and packs according to prescribed protocols, rotating through decontamination, sterilization, and assembly assignments. You will also assist in recordkeeping, monitor equipment, manage inventory, report issues, dispense supplies, and actively prioritize safety, adhering to all health and safety procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will combine meticulous attention to detail, a strong understanding of aseptic techniques and basic microbiology, and unyielding adherence to health and safety procedures. Graduation from the HSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association) and one (1) year of related work experience that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities Current certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) by the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) at hire or within six (6) months of date of hire; OR current certification as a Certified Sterile Processing Distribution Technician (CSPDT) by the Certification Board for Sterile Processing Preferred
