Perform pre-admission evaluations for the appropriateness of services.
Initiates the admission process by educating and informing patients/families of its services.
Obtains informed consent Provides nursing assessment, initial plan of care, and intervention(s) that optimize patient and family-directed comfort and quality of life.
Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of practice Must possess current CPR Certification 1 year of Hospice experience, preferred Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, family members, visitors, agency personnel, and the general public Must be knowledgeable of quality assessment and assurance procedures
