Cardiac Catheterization and Interventional Radiology Technologist Location: Florida Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule: Day 4x10-Hour Shift: 06:30 - 17:00 Job Description: This position requires strong cardiac catheterization skills as well as preferred experience in interventional radiology. The clinician will be responsible for performing advanced procedures within a hybrid lab setting, which accommodates both Cardiac Cath and Interventional Radiology cases. Responsibilities:
Perform cardiac catheterization procedures including balloon angioplasty, stent placement, and left/right heart catheterization. Conduct interventional radiology procedures such as coil embolization, filter placement, and vascular studies. Utilize advanced monitoring systems and ensure a sterile environment throughout procedures. Interpret EKGs, including rhythm interpretation and holter monitoring. Act as a circulator and scrub tech, supporting the procedural flow and patient care. Participate in on-call rotation, covering one week on-call followed by two weeks off.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
Minimum of 1 year of cardiac cath lab experience required; interventional radiology experience preferred. Valid Florida state license and certifications in BLS and ACLS are required. Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred. Additional certifications like CCI RCES, CCI RCIS, and fluoro permits are also required.
